Our actions

Concrete impact
Asbl kobika is involved in various initiatives to improve the lives of the people we support. Discover our most recent projects and their positive impact on society.
Local autonomy
This includes the management of local resources, the provision of public services, and the development of local policies, thus promoting more inclusive and efficient development. This autonomy strengthens citizen participation and the effectiveness of local actions.
Sustainable growth
Sustainable growth aims to develop the economy while preserving natural resources and protecting the environment for future generations. It emphasizes the use of renewable energy, such as solar energy, and responsible resource management, including the collection and use of rainwater.
Building tomorrow
Building the future means laying the foundations today for sustainable, innovative and inclusive development for future generations. We are looking for funding and support to get started, but our goal is to become self-sufficient in the long term, creating a sustainable and self-sufficient impact.
Our services
Millennium Medical Center
Our project begins with the creation of a small general medical center where we will offer
emergency and consultation care, with hospital beds, a laboratory, a
pharmacy accessible to internal and external patients, as well as services
X-ray. This center is the first step towards expansion into a general hospital, see
a reference hospital, with intensive care, a scanner, and various specialties
such as geriatrics, pediatrics and chronic disease management.
We will work in collaboration with international doctors and nurses to benefit from their expertise and knowledge, making specialized interventions accessible to all.
Our commitment goes beyond medical care:
-
Free Awareness Sessions : We will be hosting sessions on topics such as current illnesses, chronic illnesses, autism in children, and first aid.
-
Free support programs : We will develop programs for patients with chronic diseases, offering them regular consultations and medication at reduced prices or even free of charge. Children with autism, followed up in the hospital and enrolled in our specialized school, will also benefit from follow-up and treatment at reduced prices or free of charge.

Nursing school
In addition to our medical center, we want to launch a nursing school offering comprehensive, quality training.
Our main program will offer a classic daytime training over 4 years, leading to the diplome of nurse responsible for general care. In parallel, we will offer evening classes allowing to specialize in Intensive Care and Emergency Care or in pediatrics. Midwifery training will also be available. In addition, after one year of nursing training, students will be able to obtain a nursing assistant certificate.
Our long-term vision is to reach European standards, in order to be recognized in Belgium and to foster collaborations with Belgian nursing schools, including student exchanges. We also plan to work closely with Belgian professors, thus benefiting from their expertise and strengthening international exchanges.

Specialized school
As mentioned earlier, one of our two most vulnerable groups is children with autism.
Often marginalized and excluded from the community due to beliefs related to witchcraft, these children face intense stigma. Yet, with learning adapted to their pace and an appropriate environment, they can become active members of society.
To meet their needs, we want to create a school specially designed for them. Located near our medical center, this school will allow specialized medical monitoring and appropriate treatment.
We will also set up a transport service with a bus to pick up children living further away and take them home in the evening. In the future, we are even considering setting up a boarding school to offer accommodation during the week to children coming from far away.
In addition, we will organize awareness sessions to address this issue and reduce prejudices.

Plantation
We also plan to set up a catering system to provide healthy and medically appropriate food to hospitalized patients, as well as to school children and students at an affordable price.
This catering system will be designed to meet the specific nutritional requirements of patients, especially those with chronic diseases or who have undergone surgical procedures. We will ensure that meals are balanced, nutritious and adapted to each medical condition.
In addition, we will offer discounted meals for families of hospitalized patients, to support them during their stay with their loved ones. Workers at the hospital and our schools will also benefit from this food offer, contributing to a healthy and balanced work and study environment.
